March 2010 Fly Swap Theme: Yellowish

The fly to tie for this month is your favorite fly in yellow. This leaves the field wide open. I am planning on tying Ken Abrame's L&L flatwing. The recipe will follow in the next couple of day's.

Joe Blado's Crease Fly

Poppers, sliders, Crease flies, and Gurglers are some of the flies that work the surface. I will be tying the Joe Blados Crease fly.

Large Sand Eel 2010_Jan Fly Swap Pattern

Last fall a lot large sand eel's were in the surf. I came up with this flatwing style sand eel. Overall, the fly is 7" long. I didn't get a chance to fish the pattern but I am looking forward to it.
